We tend to imagine that the big question is whether machines will ever become human enough.
But maybe the more uncomfortable question is the opposite: what happens if they learn presence, empathy and companionship while we become increasingly indifferent to each other?

ALMOST HUMAN imagines a world where robots are no longer extraordinary. They work, commute, eat, drink, shop and live among us.
The strange part isn’t that they behave like humans.
It’s how quickly everyone stops noticing.
